Cake Pictures

So, I haven't posted some of the cakes that I've made in the last few months. I was so excited about how some of them turned out. And some of them weren't as cool as I thought they would be. But all of them were fun and I think I am getting better as time goes on and as I make more of them. Anyway, it's my new favorite hobby. And here are the pictures.

This was a birthday cake for a friends little girl who turned 1 in October. They call her their "little monkey"! I LOVE how this super cute monkey cake turned out!


This was another friends birthday cake whose little girl is very into Elmo. The elmo part was a chocolate mold, and it had some issues, but still looked ok, just not as good as I'd hoped. It was supposed to look like Elmo popping out of a present, but I can't be sure it looked exactly as planned. But it was still fun.


This birthday cake was for a friends little boy who turned 2. And the Dad is a huge Superman fan, I'm pretty sure his son is following in his footsteps there though.


These next two were for a French themed Christmas party for a friend. The chocolate mint mouse cake was super easy and I made one ahead of time to make sure it turned out and it was really yummy. The Christmas Tree made out of cream puffs was a struggle for me. Everything I found said to glue it together with this carmel that you make from sugar and water, and then you were supposed to take the mold out of inside of it. But I could never get the thing to stay up after you took it out. Finally I just decided to leave it in. I felt kind of bad though, because it didn't turn out as well as I'd wanted it to. But I still think it was pretty.



This one was for my mother in law's birthday. And I think it turned out great! I hope she likes it. I just love that it's simple, yet very pretty! We hope you have a great birthday Teresa!


I think Rett gets sick of my little hobby, but it has been so much fun playing around and figuring out how to make some really fun cakes!

Terry Morgan Sage

Terry M. Sage 1930 ~ 2009 Terry Morgan Sage, age 79, passed away December 28, 2009 from complication of colon cancer at his home in Mona, Utah. He was born July 13, 1930 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Leo Gale and Connie Swensen Sage. He married Eleanor LeOra Aldrich July 15, 1950 in Bonneville, Washington. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple April 1, 1959. He worked for Western Union for 24 years. Then he went into business for himself. He owned Western Cycle Plaza and Lakeview Motors now known as "A New Ride". He loved people and had a passion for airplanes, horses, good books, cars, and ice cream. But his greatest love was for his family and his Savior. Despite all his trials and illnesses he kept his sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Eleanor; nine children, Debra (Lynn) Thompson; Stacey (Brian) Smith; Kip (Debora) Sage; Sandy (Dale) Carr; Conna (Guy) Chamberlain; Kristol (Terry) McBride; Terrellee (Dave) Hodges; Scott (Monica) Sage; Lance (Aurelie) Sage; 41 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Medonich. Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Teddy Sage; a grandson Erik Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the Mona 3rd Ward, 800 South 100 West. Family and friends may call Saturday at the church from 10-11:15 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mona City Cemetery.
