Crew & his new Clothes

My friend Nolan and I started working together when we opened the Lehi Costco. He is really one of the greatest guys because he is so funny, straightforward, and super nice. He got the boys some new clothes, but I need to take Drake's back and exchange them because they barely fit him. (Not at any fault of Nolan's, Drake is just almost out of 6 month clothes.) Anyway, Crew is obsessed with the clothes. He calls it his "Daddy" shirt, I think because Rett has some shirts similar. And these pictures of the pants really don't do them justice because they are SO CUTE! But it really is a grown up look. Which I love! It's so fun to dress them in little man clothes. Anyway, Nolan hit it on the spot and was so sweet to give us these gifts. Crew really LOVES them! THANKS NOLAN!

Jenn's Running!

Ok, so now that I've had two kids really close together, I've decided to get back into running. I ran long distance in high school and in college did some 5 and 10 k races. A few months back a bunch of girls in my neighborhood decided they wanted to do this relay together. It's called the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay. It goes from Logan to Park City, a total of 180.5 miles. There are 12 girls on our team, and you each run 3 legs. Depending on which leg you run, your total would be 12-19 miles. It will probably take us 25-30 hours. You have two vans that drive you between exchange points. It sounds like a ton of fun. So, that race is in June. Then, I figured that since I would be training anyway, I wanted to try a 1/2 marathon. I've always thought in the back of my mind that I'd like to do a marathon at least once in my life, and figured this 1/2 would be a great start and give me an idea if I think I am capable of the full marathon. So, currently I am registered for the Ogden Half Marathon, May 16th and the Wasatch Back Relay, June 19th. Then, we'll see about the marathon. There's one in Logan in September that I'm considering. Anyway, I am really enjoying the running. I'm only up to 6 miles, so we'll keep you posted if I still enjoy it when I'm doing more. But, I intend to be amazing. At least as amazing as I can be! (I'm not fast. But it's still a goal I intend to achieve.) I'll keep you all posted on my training and races. Happy Running!

Rett's Elk Hunt

So, The other day, Rett was checking his voice mail and started yelling all excited about something. He was so loud that it scared both boys and they started crying! Anyway, it turns out that a friend from work had called and saw his name online. He drew an archery bull elk tag that is pretty hard to get. He was very excited. Now all of his coworkers and friends want to go on this hunt with him because it is pretty lucky that he got it. He is very excited and has already shown Crew where his elk is going to hang on our wall! Because he can also get a deer buck tag over the counter, he also has decided where his deer mount will go. Crew will walk by the spot and point up and say "deer". I think it's funny. But, now we have plans for camping all summer long, so that Rett can scout for his elk! There really are a lot worse things that he could be interested in doing rather than hunting. I'm not sure if there's much that's more expensive...but I will support him anyway!

Boys

Ok, so I am just IN LOVE with having two boys!



I just hope that they are as good of FRIENDS as I want them to be! I LOVE seeing the sweetness that CREW shows DRAKE! This week he has actually been a lot softer than normal. Maybe he's finally figuring out what we mean when we say "CREW, be SOFT to your BROTHER"! Anyway, I really love seeing it. He's never really been intentionally mean, he just hasn't figured out that he can't wrestle with Drake like he can with us.




My heart is a flutter thinking about how blessed I am to have two healthy, cute little guys! I could never have imagined how much love I could have for my kids. I always wanted to be a mom, but never really realized how amazing it would be. Yes, I have hard days, lot's of them, but mostly, I am in awe at how much they bring into my life. They make me so happy. I love to see them learn new things. I love that Crew is starting to talk like crazy. I love seeing him give Drake kisses. I love cuddling with Drake. I love how calm Drake is. I love how much energy Crew has. I love how Crew wants to do everything Rett and I do. I love being a mother and a wife to such wonderful boys! I am so blessed to have three wonderful boys in my life! They all make me so happy.

Drake's New Sweater

Our cousin Jamie made this sweater for Drake! I think it is so adorable. She says that there are flaws and mistakes, but I couldn't find one! Thanks so much Jamie! That was so kind and thoughtful of you! It was fun to get so unexpectedly in the mail. And Crew likes it too! He really wants to wear it! But, it's a little too small for him. Thanks again Jamie!
