Visit from our favorite French relatives!

Little Whit is NUTS!! He keeps me on my toes. Saturday at a basketball game he fell between some old, awfully dangerous bleachers and bumped his check bone. But it actually didn't get as bad as I thought it would. Today he fell on the rower and scraped his nose. But he is the life of the house. And he's got some good competition from his big brothers!

Here are some cute Santa pictures from a community get together. At first when I asked Whit if he'd sit with Santa he would say a very stern "no", but he didn't seem to mind once he got there!

And we were so lucky to get to have a good visit with Aunt Bree, Uncle Romain, and baby cousin Ernest. They spent their first few days with Grandpa Kip and Grandma Deb. We spent one evening with them there. The boys had so much fun and fell asleep within minutes of leaving to head home. Then they came to our house. Romain was so good to help the boys with their art work. They thoroughly enjoyed the visit!! And I loved the snuggle time with the little guy, and some great catch up conversation. Now they're at Grandma Teresa's where I'm sure there is only a little spoiling going on!

Whit Turned 2

I can't believe my little baby boy is already 2!!! This two years has gone by way too fast! He's a busy guy and he is so much fun! He loves Curious George, which is why he got a George cake! This boy is big. At his two year well visit the pediatricians nurse was a little worried she had the wrong kid or the wrong chart and asked if this was really Whit for a 2 year well visit. That shows you that he's a little bigger than the average two year old! But he's a blast and we are sure glad he came to our family!

Sledding, Friends, and Getting Ready For Christmas

We got our Christmas Tree up. It actually looks a little different now. The bottom half has no ornaments. Whit kept playing with them so they got moved up!!

The boys had fun with our one snow storm around Thanksgiving. We've had friends over and pulled sleds in the back with the rhino a few times. We went round and round till there was almost no snow left! And Whit even LOVED the sled rides.

We got to see Santa at a ward Christmas Party. The big boys were excited. And we lost Whit on the way to the church, so he had no idea what he'd slept through.

And this is a project we've talked about for a while. A Christmas wreath from some of Rett's field trial ribbons. It turned out pretty cute! And for a field trialer it is pretty special!

Halloween 2015

Halloween was great again this year. We had another big friend and neighbor party. Drake really wanted to be a special indian guy. It was called a contrary warrior. So, he had this idea from a Longmire episode and ran with it. Grandpa got his cool mask made and found the long hair to go with it. At school he couldn't have the mask, so he painted his face. Crew had a hard time coming up with anything he was willing to be. So when we finally decided on Andy Reid, head coach of his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs, he thought that would be cool. We wanted him to stuff his belly with pillows, but he didn't think that was cool. So he was a skinny Andy Reid. Whit got to be a leftover costume, and made a great horse. Rett came up with our costumes. We were Mayhem from Allstate Insurance and Flo from Progressive Insurance. I thought it was pretty clever! Whit caught onto trick or treating pretty quickly. He LOVED people handing him the sweet stuff!

Basketball

The boys, especially Crew, LOVE basketball! We had Crew in a Utah State Basketball camp over the summer. And he LOVED being able to spend some time with the USU players. He played 3 seasons of basketball during last school year. This year didn't change much. He only did one season of rec though and played in a competition league that just ended. Now he's doing a couple of competition tournaments and still loving it. Basketball is definitely Crew's favorite sport. Drake played on a rec league this fall too, which was his first time playing. He really improved over the season and had a lot of fun. Drake has come a long way in his ability to be in the spotlight and it showed during basketball. I was AWFUL at pictures during their fall season so I have to apologize that I don't really have any good pictures! But I'm sure there will be lot's more to come!

USU Homecoming

Every year we get the opportunity to go to the Utah State Homecoming game. The kids always have a blast and LOVE going. It's been a really fun tradition and we hope to keep it going for a long time.

Drake's 7th Birthday

Drake is a big 7 Years Old! He has a fall birthday, which always falls right on a hunt or a field trial. So he gets a lot of camping birthdays. This year was no exception. Rett had an elk tag and we were going hunting. So, his birthday cake, which started out really cute at home, got knocked off the truck dash while parking the trailer and smashed a little bit. So Peyton Manning on the top was put back on a little crooked. But I don't think Drake cared. He was still happy. He loved that he got to keep part of his cake. Which was a homemade carrot cake. That's his favorite! He is the sweetest boy. When asked by some grandparents what he wanted for his birthday his reply was " It doesn't matter. Presents aren't what is important. As long as I'm with my family I will be happy!" So cute! I love that little guy!

First Day of School 2015

Crew started Third Grade this year! His teacher is Mrs. Moser. And he absolutely loves her! He is in a spectrum class this year, which is a combined 2nd/3rd grade class. It has been really good for him and he has grown tons.

Drake started First Grade this year. His teacher is Mrs. Morrison, who was also Crew's first grade teacher.  He has done really well. He is reading so well this year. He has really started to grow up into a smart little guy!

Whit

Whit is so crazy! We love the little guy. But he sure keeps us on our toes! I thought Crew and Drake were busy toddlers. But I think Whit is a whole new level of crazy!

Whit started climbing out of his crib ages ago. He hates naps and usually just plays in his room till he's bored. Then he screams. And kicks, and makes big messes. And sometimes he eventually falls asleep. Other times he just stays awake. Sadly, I think the nap times are coming to a quick end.

Whit LOVED summer time camping and marshmallow roasts in the back yard!

He also has a great passion for ramen noodles. (Ick!) But he is so funny to watch eat them. He seriously LOVES them and shoves them in by the handfuls!

Whit loves the outdoors. No matter the weather! He thoroughly enjoys being outside and playing and getting into trouble!

If you don't know, he also REALLY likes food. Especially the kinds containing sugar. Yup. He is an eater! Which may be a small part of the reason that he is such a big guy!

And he thinks he's a dog. He drinks out of dog water dishes. He eats dog food. He loves dogs!

He can be a real mess maker. If you look closely, he has the whole roll of tp off. And he has MY toothbrush in his mouth!!

This is Whit and his little cousin Frankie. He LOVES her. Even though some will tell a story of Thanksgiving and him yelling at her "BAD BABY" because she was trying to play with the tablet he was watching PBS kids on.

He has a new obsession of gathering and piling every pillow he can get his hands on from the whole house! It's a super obnoxious mess to clean up. But this was one day he was SUPPOSED to be napping!

And Whit takes the cake for being the first kiddo in our fam to need stitches. He fell off the counter and cut his lip open pretty badly! He was a trooper though and we all survived!
