Last Summer Hooras!

Cub scout day camps!

Cameron Hanes Trail Run! These boys are running animals! So awesome!

All in a day with Whit!
He made a mess with cupcake so I asked him to clean it up, and he did, by licking it up!
He thinks these fake teeth are so funny!
He used some Chinese noodles to put up his nose.
And he learned how to blow up balloons all by himself!
Never a dull moment! Gotta love this guy!

A visit from our friends the Mumfords from Idaho.

Brigham City Temple Open House

We had the opportunity to attend the Brigham City Temple Open House. And we were glad my sister Tiffiny and her family were able to drive up and meet us to go through it together. It was neat to be able to show the boys the inside of a temple. It was beautiful. We especially loved the touches that were specific to the area. There was a beautiful mural of the mountains with waterfowl flying through. (Big surpirse, I know, that that was our families favorite!) And some really neat artwork of orchards and peaches.

I am so grateful for the temple and what it means in my life. I am grateful for the covenants we are able to make there. And for the closeness to the Lord that can be felt there. I am especially grateful for the sealing power. We, as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, believe that because there is life after death on this earth, that if we are sealed to our families, it is for eternity, so we can be with them again. That promise has a great deal of meaning to me. It means that death is not the end, and that I can look forward to being with those who have passed on before again one day. It means that I will get the chance to be with my Dad again. That Rett and our boys will get a chance to meet him one day. It means that I will be able to be with Rett and our children in the eternities. That gives life so much meaning. And that is why the temple is so important to me and to our family.
