February 2018

February was a fun, quick month! 

We wrapped it up with some fun basketball and a sweet mom and dad getaway!

As usual, Whit made some fun projects!

Rett had to be in Salt Lake the 14th for meetings. So we arranged for Grandpa and Grandma to stay with the boys and had a quick getaway. We went to the Jazz game and stayed in a hotel right in downtown. I was able to go to the temple while Rett was in meetings. It was a wonderful quick getaway for us!

And the next day Rett had meetings in Ogden so we took the boys with us to swim at the pool!

We finished up rec basketball. Crew's 2nd grade teacher who moved away came to watch him play! It was the sweetest thing!

Drake'srec team lost the championship by 2 points. Kind of rough.

Crew's rec team was able to win their championship in a very exciting game!

Whit has decided that sleeping on the floor with Zink is awesome!

Crew was so proud of his first kill shot with his pellet gun. Now he can't wait to go deer hunting!

The boys started a competitive league for the small Southeast Idaho schools. At the first tournament both teams won the championships! Drake was lucky enough to get to play with the 4th graders this year since they don't start it in 3rd grade.

September 2016

I can't seem to just keep up with this blog....so once again....lots of posts to catch up!

September was our first month of full fledged tackle football. It was kind of crazy. But tons of fun. The boys worked hard and loved every minute. Dad was a little sad that this meant not much time for thr fall bow hunts. School had started and we were very busy. 

Whit keeps us laughing!

We changed out our front door which turned into a crazy project, but we love the new front door.

I guess Whit can fall asleep anywhere after being dragged all over for football practices and games!

Crew and Drake started wearing football jerseys on the Friday before their games.

My amazing brother Joshua won Silver Medal at the Paralympics in Rio!!

Crew won player of the week.

For Drake's birthday we went laser tagging as a family. It was so much fun. Whit loved every minute!

Drake turned 8 this year and was so excited!

He wanted a Stansbury Stallions cake since we were in football mode.

Car trips with dogs. Oh boy!

Whit found the perfect shoes from Dad's closet to compliment his monkey outfit.

We went to the Utah State Homecoming game with some great friends from Dayton and had so much fun!

Porsche

Porsche turned 2 in May so she is all done with the derby. She ran in a qualifying in June in Island Park and won! Way to go Porsche! 

FC Elmingo's Little Man

Today Zink won the Open in Cheyenne which makes him an FC. It's kind of a big deal in the field trial world! And an even bigger deal to our family. And even cooler, it was 6 years ago today that his mother Miikka won an open in Canada to finish her Canadian titles. Rett has had a goal to get a dog to this level for a very long time. I am so proud of Zink, so excited for Rett, and so grateful to Horsetooth Retriever Kennels, Kenny Trott, and Marcy Wright for all their hard work to get to this point. Congrats Zink and Rett!

Randoms

These are some random pictures, mostly of Whit, that were taken during August and September.

This one is of Whit and his little twinner buddy Stockton. They were born on the same day, just a couple of hours apart. But Whit is much bigger than Stockton!

This is Porsche. She's one of Stormy's litter that we kept. She's doing great on beginning training and has such a fun personality!

Whit can't really ride this alone. But he LOVES it! 

Randoms of Whit

I love some of these pictures of Whit. They are just so stinking cute! He was being so silly. It all started out just trying to get one picture of him up on his hands and feet. And this is what it turned into. Still wasn't crawling, but was lifting himself all the way up at this point. I know, I know, all parents think this of their children, but he is seriously the cutest little boy ever!

This cute little puppy was also being a great little poser!
