February 2018

February was a fun, quick month!
We wrapped it up with some fun basketball and a sweet mom and dad getaway!

As usual, Whit made some fun projects!

The big boys and their technology!

The boys met this hunter dude at the hunt expo.

Whit loves to make stuff!

Rett had to be in Salt Lake the 14th for meetings. So we arranged for Grandpa and Grandma to stay with the boys and had a quick getaway. We went to the Jazz game and stayed in a hotel right in downtown. I was able to go to the temple while Rett was in meetings. It was a wonderful quick getaway for us!

And the next day Rett had meetings in Ogden so we took the boys with us to swim at the pool!

We finished up rec basketball. Crew's 2nd grade teacher who moved away came to watch him play! It was the sweetest thing!

Drake'srec team lost the championship by 2 points. Kind of rough.

Crew's rec team was able to win their championship in a very exciting game!

Whit has decided that sleeping on the floor with Zink is awesome!

Crew was so proud of his first kill shot with his pellet gun. Now he can't wait to go deer hunting!

The boys started a competitive league for the small Southeast Idaho schools. At the first tournament both teams won the championships! Drake was lucky enough to get to play with the 4th graders this year since they don't start it in 3rd grade.

January 2018

Another month!! It's been a good one! Nothing too exciting. But happy and healthy so that is great!

This one cracks me up!!! I was climbing onto the top bunk to snuggle with Whit one night and well, apparently I'm a little too big!! The mattress fell on Crew, who was sound asleep!! Whit and I fell on him too! And because he's such a sound sleeper, he didn't even move! And because I'm such a good mom, I had to get a picture while I was giggling my head off before I lifted the bed off of him! Man, I wish I could sleep like that!!

Who knew you could fit two dogs and a child in one crate!?!?!?

The pine wood derby!!! Exciting! I think our boys were in first and second place till Crews wheel did something weird and derailed in a big crash!! So, Drake took first and poor Crew didn't end up placing. I think he was 4th, which was still great, but hard on the ego!

Crew made up for it when he got to be VIP for his class! So fun!

And the boys have been going to crossfit with Rett. I'm so proud of how hard they work. And they're getting strong too!! They got a shout out on this post, which I was pretty proud to see! Way to work hard boys!

September, October, And Another Move

We went to a preseason basketball game and Whit got the jazz bear painted on his forehead. Pretty cute! Crew also ran into a friend from Idaho, Shandon!

Oh, my Drakey baby turned 9 this year! I can't believe how fast Crew and Drake are growing up! So crazy! Drake had his friend Broncs over.

This was Whit saying goodnight to his Dad one night. 'LL Kool Whit!!

We added the backyard curbing and flower bed we'd wanteed the whole year and a half we lived in Erda! Of course, right before we listed our house on the market!!

Rett was able to get the Preston, Idaho manager position so we listed our home for sale, showed it 6 times in the first 24 hours, had an offer over asking price by the next day ....crazy! And we convinced thr buyer to let us stay in the home till the end of October so we had somewhere to stay while the boys finished their football season. We had a week we stayed with friends and that worked out great! Rett started in Idaho the last week in August, so once again we did the living apart and off and on family for a couple months. It was no fun. But we survived!

On the day of our first football playoff games Grandpa Lip took the kids on the Heber Creeper train ride. Whit and Frankie had fun!

Crew and X Patch. This is the family we stayed with the last week in Erda. They were so great and selfless in sharing their home, their food, and their friendship!

The last summer Whit and the neighbor boy Boston Brown became really good friends. Mostly they were naughty terrors and drove us crazy. But they were good buds.

And Whit learned to ride a bike with no major falls! It was so fun and he was so excited!!
