Cousins

My oldest sister Tiff had a baby in August and my mom was in town. My mom brought her older kids up to hang out with us for a while. We had lots of fun. We visited Grandma Simons grave. We also took the kids to the Utah State Aggie training game. They had a blast. We visited Grandma Sexton and that was delightful. And we went to a movie. It was busy but so much fun! That was also when I realized I didn't really have a baby anymore. He was huge next to little Adam!

Randoms

So here we have a compilation of random pics that range from last spring to this fall.

This was at a spring field trail. The boys had their mud boots on playing in this puddle. Whit decided it was more like a swimming pool and just went all in!

I loved the sunflowers we planted in our garden this year. So cute!

Big boys climbing a tree.

Drake being an indian warrior!

Whit at a field trial. He just decided the road was as good a place as any to hang out with his blankie!

Drake showing off his muscles.

Drake and his friend Evan looking cool.

These were from Drake's "Crazy Hair Day" his class earned for reading to a goal. He wanted his hair spiked and blue and white. So we did "USU" for the good old Aggies!

And what would the day be without a cute dog in sunglasses pic. Whit was doing this to Zink.

Crew's Class Field Trip

In May I got to go with Crew on his class field trip. It was tons of fun. We got to go to a little Zoo in Logan. And we got to go ice skating. That part was a little scary!

Hogle Zoo

In July we decided to take the boys to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. Whit had so much fun looking at all the animals. It was so funny to watch. You could totally tell when he would see an animal or not because as soon as he'd see it he'd get excited. It was a fun day with lots of walking and good family time.

Kids Photography

In April the big boys wanted to do some photography. And they did pretty well. They turned a picture each into the fine arts fair at school and got ribbons. It was kind of fun. Here is some of their work.

Behind

Once again, surprise, surprise, I find myself extremely, more than six months behind on my blog. So here goes. Lot's of posts and updates.

FC Elmingo's Little Man

Today Zink won the Open in Cheyenne which makes him an FC. It's kind of a big deal in the field trial world! And an even bigger deal to our family. And even cooler, it was 6 years ago today that his mother Miikka won an open in Canada to finish her Canadian titles. Rett has had a goal to get a dog to this level for a very long time. I am so proud of Zink, so excited for Rett, and so grateful to Horsetooth Retriever Kennels, Kenny Trott, and Marcy Wright for all their hard work to get to this point. Congrats Zink and Rett!

Crew's Baptism

Crew was baptized on April 18th by his Dad. It was a very special day for him. He had lot's of family come and was very supported by all the people that love him.

We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We have also been known as LDS or Mormons. We believe that when a person is 8 years old or older, he or she is responsible to make their own choices. We believe in baptism by immersion in water. The baptism is performed by someone who has the authority or priesthood power of God. We believe that baptism is an ordinance that helps us along the path to receive eternal salvation. We believe that the Savior was baptized while he was on the earth as an example to us, which we should follow, and be baptized ourselves, and then receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

I know that because I have been baptized and have the Gift of the Holy Ghost, I have been blessed throughout my life. I remember being baptized in the creek by my house when I was 8 years old by my Father. I hope Crew can always remember the feelings he had that day, and that he will remember the covanents and promises he made to Heavenly Father. I know that baptism by immersion is a commandment, and if we follow it, we are blessed. I know that following Heavenly Father's commandments makes us happy. I know that we can become eternal families when we obtain the ordinances we are commanded to. I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life. I am grateful for the joy and peace that it gives me. For the comfort, warnings, promptings, and truth that the Holy Ghost testifies of to me. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father's plan includes families. I love my family so very much! I am so blessed in this life and I know that my Heavenly Father loves me.

Crew's baptism was a wonderful time for me to be reminded of the blessings of baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost. It was a wonderful time to be with family. And I may be a little biased, but I think these are two of the most handsome guys in the world!
