Crew played t-ball this year. It was lot's of fun to watch him learn and start to develop an athletic ability. He had a great time. The first practice, he was really shy and stood at home plate when the coach told everyone to run the bases. He came to me crying and said he didn't know what to do. I told him he simply needed to listen to his coach! It was amazing the difference there was from that first practice to the last game! In fact, the last game, he actually did a cart wheel between 2nd and 3rd base! It made me laugh! He learned to play with lots of other kids and to listen to his coach. He also learned how to catch, hit, and throw.
Another fun part of Crew starting to get involved in sports is watching Rett. It was kind of funny! I'm not sure what it is about Dad's and their kids playing, but Rett struggled a little when Crew was standing around during a game not even watching the ball, or when he was trying to help him practice, and Crew was bored. Anyway, I think Rett learned a little something too during the little t-ball season. Drake wanted to play, and probably could have. But we thought we'd wait till next year. And they will actually be on the same team next year too, so that will be fun to have them both involved.
