Move In Countdown

So, our builder and lender are telling us that we should be done with the house by the end of next week! That's the end of October basically. When we started building (end of June) we were told 3 1/2-4 months, so I guess we're really not far off of that. It just seems like we've been living in our trailer FOREVER. Which, I guess since the end of May is a pretty long time. It will end up being over 5 months! Hooray for us that we've made it that long and not killed each other! I would like to say that this has been really good for me and I've learned a lot, but I'm not sure I have. Besides what I already knew anyway, that I'm a little bit OCD and like things my way and don't like not having control over things. I thought it would teach me some patience, but I'm not sure that will ever happen. It's been ok, and I don't regret it. I guess the one thing I've learned is that you can get along without so much stuff. I have so much in storage, and I haven't died without it this summer. Simplify. That's the goal of moving to the country anyway. The boys have loved it. And like I said, we've survived and it will be a fun memory to talk about in the future. I told Rett that I'm not sure we will go camping next year. I've kind of had my share this summer! One thing's for sure though, we have gotten our moneys worth on this old camping trailer. We bought it used before Crew was born, so maybe 4 to 5 years ago. We used it a lot before the kids were born. And last summer, we lived in it a ton with Rett's elk hunt. And this summer, it saved us a ton of money in rent. Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Sage for letting us stay on their land and plug into their power and water, which has been so nice!
Anyway, the counter top, plumbing, and stove are all being finished this week. Next week it's pretty much appliances and cement work outside. And that is it! I cannot even express how anxious and excited I am to get moved into the house! Seriously! I just hope they don't disappoint me. Because at this point, I'm likely to be a mean, crazy women if the timing doesn't fall into place! Some of the things I'm most excited for include; My own bedroom and bathroom, Not sleeping in a bunk bed with only two feet above you, My own kitchen, Not having to climb down stairs to use the bathroom at night, Not having my kids sleeping right below me, Having a TV that is more than 18", Having a routine started for my kiddos, Not having Rett on the road 2 1/2 hours a day, Being able to organize things, Not having my clothes in a suit case, Having all my clothes and shoes back, All my stuff that is in storage. Ok, I could go on and on, but seriously, normal life in a home is sounding so good right now! And I can hardly wait!!!
