Plane Trip

So, Crew was really funny at the airport. I think he was just really excited to be somewhere new.

He really liked looking out the window. And was pretty wild on the way home. The trip out, he was really good and they both just sat on our laps and took a nap for part of the time. But on the way home, they were both pretty fussy.

Crew rode on the front of the stroller for part of the time and sometimes he would get Drake laughing so much! It was cute!

Crew LOVED to run around while we were waiting at the airport. It was really cute.

Wild Animal Park

Crew's favorite animal right now is the giraffe! He sees a picture or anything and he says "Baff" and gets really excited!

We didn't get very many pictures of Drake! The poor guy! He kind of got left out of a lot of this trip. But, he was there!

Crew was the ONLY kid on the whole carousel at the park! He thought it was really fun, but of course, cried when we got off!

He really liked the petting zoo too. He would run up, and really quickly touch a deer, and then run away! It was cute.

This lion was so funny! Just snoozing on the top of the jeep!

At the Wild Animal Park, Crew ran a lot! It was so funny. He's too good at his little cheesy expressions! But, we love them and indulge them anyway!

One of his favorite things was the little play area. He loved driving the cars!

I can't believe how good of a runner he is. He would run down hills and everything.

Sea World

Rett had a dog training seminar he wanted to go to in San Deigo, so we decided to make a little vacation out of it! We went to Sea World and the Wild Animal Park. It was a lot of fun, and BONUS, it was around 70 degrees! Of course, not on the days we were at Sea World or the Wild Animal Park. But, that was fine because there were no crowds or lines at all!
Crew was so cute and excited. Especially when he clapped!
He would look over at you with this really surprised look on his face.
It was super cute. Then he would clap and not stop until the whole show was over.
At the end of all of the shows we let Crew go on some of the kiddie rides.
Every time he and Rett got off he would start crying.
And you could hear him on the rides going "Woooooo" or "Weeeeee".
I know he is a little young, but he really enjoyed it.
And what parent doesn't want to see their little guy happy?

I Was Tagged

Ok, so my old roomie from college "tagged" me and I'm supposed to list 6 unique things about myself. I'm not sure any of them will be unique, but we'll try anyway, I'm sure they'll just be things about myself.

1. I am a perfectionist. Some of Rett & my biggest fights when we first got married were because he didn't put the condiments in the door of the refrigerator. Instead he put them in the shelves. WHICH ARE FOR LARGE ITEMS! So, because I have such a problem with this, I have learned over the last 7 years that things like that don't really matter. My sweet husband made a comment one day to me that those things won't keep us out of the Celestial Kingdom, but if I nag about them and it causes him to hate me, it could. He really is right. So, now when he puts things away wrong I just move them without a word!

2. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Community Health, but never used it. In my "professional" career at Costco, where I was paid more than I think I could have made using my degree, they don't really care about education. I loved getting an education, but honestly don't know much from it. I think I've learned more being married and having children than from college. But, I am better off for having it.

3. I have found a new love for cooking. I used to hate cooking and making dinner because I got off work around 6:30, got home around 7:30, was tired, didn't have anything planned, and wanted to eat ASAP. Since I have been home more, I have really enjoyed making dinner and trying new recipes. I have decided that I am going to save a ton of money making things from scratch and cook more healthy for my family.

4. I love attending hunt tests with Rett. He trains labrador retrievers and then enters them in hunt tests. It is really neat and amazing to watch. SO, we get to travel all over and have amazing dogs that follow directions WAY better than my children!

5. I love to go hunting with my husband. During the last few years, I have shot ducks and swan with a shot gun and been so close to getting a deer with my bow. It is really fun to spend time outdoors with my husband.

6. I am preparing to run the Wasatch Back Relay with a bunch of girls from my neighborhood. I am very excited to get back into running and get my pre-pregnancy body back. It will be hard I am sure, but I am so excited to run with a team of great people from Logan to Park City.

I am tagging Marinda, Mary, Jamie, Bev, Mindie, Melanie, Camie, and BreeAnn.

Earplugs

I don't know if you can tell, but in this picture Crew has some yellow earplugs in. He found them somewhere in the house. I'm sure they were in a pocket of Rett's from work and got set down somewhere. He asked us to put them in his ears over and over one day. It was really funny. He is such a character. I can't believe what he comes up with all on his own.

Crew & Drake

We have two little camo baseball caps. Crew thinks it's really fun to put the smaller one on Drake and wear the other one.

Isn't Drake getting big? I can't believe how fast they grow. He doesn't look very happy in this picture, but he is starting to laugh and smile so much now! I love seeing him happy. It makes me think I am doing something right!

The bigger Drake gets, the more excited I am for the boys to be friends. I hope they will be, you never know. I can just tell though, that in a year or so, it is going to be the beginning of a wild house! Boys are crazy! Crew is so wild sometimes. And in a year when Drake is walking and they are playing together I can see all the trouble they will cause. Every time we go to a friends house, they talk about how quiet and calm Crew is. Then we get home and he is crazy! But we love our spirited little boy and hope that one day he will put all of his energy into sports or something!

Tubby Time

I haven't really dared to put Drake directly in the tub with Crew for safety reasons until now. You never know when he'll decide it's time to be crazy. I used to give Crew a bath in the tub, and then Drake a bath in the infant tub. But Drake is almost too big for that. So then I started giving them baths separately. But this day we were in a hurry to get somewhere, so they both got to take a bath together.

Crew thinks it's so cool! And Drake really likes it too. Until Crew splashes too much. Anyway, they are cute in the tub together. But I still really have to watch them because Crew doesn't always get that he's supposed to be more calm when he's close to Drake. So, here are my two boys in the tubby!

Crew's Dump Truck & Hard Hat

Crew loves TRUCKS and TRACTORS...

He got this Dump Truck for Christmas...And the Hard Hat was from the Lineman's Rodeo last year when Rett was in it (although, it's actually really soft plastic).

He is such a hard worker. We had friends over the other night and they have a little boy a little older than Crew. They played with the dump truck for a very long time. They would load it with little toy dogs, and then took turns pressing the lever to dump it, and then loaded it and so on for quite a while! It's super cute!

He really doesn't sit still to watch TV for more than a few minutes, but he also got a DVD set called "John Deer for Kids" that shows tractors working and he loves to watch that too. We keep saying that he's going to grow up to be a construction worker, but we'll need him to make a lot more money to take care of us when we are old!

Costco

OK, so, the last post I made about Costco was that I had told them that I was not going to be a manager anymore. I had kind of planned on just quitting completely, but I thought I would see if I could get them to approve what I wanted. I really didn't think they would, so I didn't really give it much thought. But I asked if they would allow me to work only one day a week and not on weekends. And they said yes! They even let me extend my leave, without pay, until the beginning of April. So, between now and April, I will work two days, both Saturdays, for inventory (and will only be there a max of 8 hours! Which I haven't done since I have been a manager and that is a breeze!) Then, in April, I will go back for one day a week. And of course there will be sometimes when it will be a Saturday I am sure, but regularly, it should be a week day! Which I am so excited about. It gets me out of the house one day a week and in February I will hit my 6 year anniversary with Costco. It keeps my free executive membership and 2% back, I get my benefits until April, and will have a little extra spending money. Plus, I keep my seniority in case I needed to go back to work if something happened to Rett. I am actually pretty excited about the one day a week thing. I really do love working at Costco, I was just so sick of being away from Crew for 10 hours a day, the weekends all the time, and not being able to do fun things with my family. SO, I am now going to be a very limited part time employee.

Fruity Cherio Neckless

We were at my sister Tiffiny's house the other day and they had a neckless made from FRUIT LOOPS and Crew picked it up and finished eating it! So, we decided to make one for him the other day. Only, we didn't have fruit loops and FRUITY CHERIOS are much smaller, I couldn't even get them to work with yarn, so I used floss. But, the idea is the same. (Although, it was minty floss...I wonder how that mixture of flavors was?)

And he is ALWAYS just in his diaper even though it is FREEZING cold and snowing outside!

And, here he is being a big CHEESE ball!

SO, he LOVED eating it. I found little pieces all over the floors for the next week. BUT, it did entertain him for a while so that I could get something done!
