My Little Drakey Baby is Getting Big!
I cannot believe that my little guy is already six months old. I love that he is getting a personality and interacting more with us and his brother. He is getting really good at rolling around. When he's on his stomach, he really wants to crawl, but he just can't seem to get his legs to cooperate. It'll be here before we know it!

Magic Eraser
I know that some people say you shouldn't buy the magic erasers because they can burn children's skin. Today though, I am really loving them! They are keeping me from going INSANE since Crew has decided that today is write all over everything day. First, I was feeding Drake and Rett called me and I went in the other room to check on him and told Rett, "I'm in trouble, I have to go now. Your son just drew all over the kitchen with black marker." Yes, a black permanent marker, all over the side of my refrigerator and my counter top along with some on his face, hands, and shirt. Luckily, I got it all off! It took a lot of elbow grease and time. Then, he got a pink crayon and drew all over the wall in my bedroom. That came off much easier than the marker. I really am not the kind of mom who leaves them alone a lot. All it takes is two minutes of helping the other child, and he's gotten into something else. But I am grateful for the magic eraser today! And I took every marker I could find and put them in a locked drawer!

My Little Elk Boy
Lately Rett has been watching quite a few elk hunting movies because he drew this elk tag. Well, Crew wants to be just like Rett, so he's learned to bugle like an elk does. He's actually pretty good. It's really funny.
He really does sound quite a lot like an elk!

I left Drake for one second...
So, I should know better than to leave Drake alone when Crew is on the loose. But it was only for one second. I needed to grab something, so I left Drake on the changing table...and this is what I found!

And actually, I'm lucky that no one got hurt! Because this could have been a dangerous situation. Luckily, Crew climbed up safely and just wanted to be like his little brother and get changed on the changing table!
Obviously there is not room for the both of them! But it is kind of cute! Poor Drake, he's always getting smashed! I love my little boys! They are always entertaining me!

Crew
Crew never ceases to amaze me with his goofy style! I guess I should just be grateful he had a shirt on!

This is how Crew contributes to making brownies! I just had to giggle as I remembered how much I LOVED eating the chocolate off the spoons growing up. It's funny how little it can take to make a kid happy!

Putting EVERYTHING in his mouth!
Wether it is my water straw...

His fingers...

Or TRYING so HARD to reach that foot in there...

(He actually did get it in his mouth but I couldn't get there fast enough with my camer!)
Drake is putting EVERYTHING in his mouth these days! It is really funny, if Crew gets near him, he grabs for something and tries to put it in his mouth. Crew gets slobbered on and then says "Wake (Drake) wobber (slobbered) mom, yuck!" I love it! It's really the least Drake could do to get back at Crew for all of his bonks on his head.
Anyway, my baby is growing up so fast! I can't believe how fast the development has been. It seems like we waited and waited for Crew to do some of the things that Drake has already started doing. I'm not sure if it was because Crew was our first, and we wanted him to start doing things, or if it's just that time goes more quickly when you start having kids. Whatever the reasons, I cannot believe my baby boy will be 6 months old THIS MONTH! And my big boy Crew will be TWO YEARS old next month! They are growing so fast!

Crew's Goose Egg
Crew got knocked down outside a few days ago. When I picked him up, this goose egg on his forehead was so big. I couldn't believe it stuck straight out almost 3/4 of an inch! These pictures really don't do it justice, because it was huge! But, anyway, he didn't cry for long. Nothing that a fishy ice pack and a spider man band-aid can't fix, right! So I thought that a day or two later he would at least have a huge dark bruise, but it doesn't even look that bad today! I can't believe how resilient and tough kids are! I would have been the biggest baby if I had a goose egg like he did! My tough little Crew!

The Way Brothers Cuddle!
CREW really does LOVE his little brother DRAKE. They have started to make each other laugh and it is the SWEETEST thing to me, as their MOTHER. It really just melts my HEART.

See, here they are laying on our bed TOGETHER. If I'm trying to get ready and they're both up already, this is usually where they hang out.

Of course Crew is wearing his usual attire, simply a DIAPER! I'm not sure why I dress him in the morning when he takes it all off if we don't leave the house after 15 minutes! Anyway, they seemed to be fine, just HANGING OUT. A little bit of CUDDLING going on, and a lot of jabbering back and forth.

Well, inevitably Crew can't hold still, so he starts to WIGGLE.

And then his wiggling turns to ROLLING, and he rolls right over his brother, who is very TOLERANT for quite a long time, I might add!

And finally DRAKE has just had ENOUGH! Then it's quickly past time for Mom to intervene and RESCUE poor little Drake.

So, you see, it is LOVE, it's just WRESTLING love! This is how Crew thinks you should play with everyone! Even if they're too small! He is known in nursery as the TACKLE BOY! Because he tackles all the little kids! He really doesn't get it! And I'm not sure I know how to stop it. SO, one day, Drake will be bigger, and they can get each other. Until then, it's SUPER MOM trying to make sure Drake doesn't get hurt too badly. A little is ok, I've decided...it will make him TOUGH, right? Anyway, let's hope my boys grow up and don't have too many broken bones! So, this is the way CREW and DRAKE CUDDLE multiple times a day. Pretty much anytime I lay Drake down anywhere! It's the DEATH ROLL as I like to call it!
